A PUBLIC EXPERIMENT · WEEK 10 OF 52

One vibe-coded app every week. The users decide what survives.

I'm building 52 apps in 52 weeks, shipping every Monday and sharing the whole process on Instagram — the prompts, the hacks, the flops. This page is the scoreboard: every app ranked by weekly active users, updated daily. No vanity metrics, no hiding the failures.

Fresh off the Monday ship

The newest experiment, five days into its first week. Every launch starts at the bottom of the board and has to earn its way up.

WHY I BUILT IT Everyone I know has 40 unanswered messages and a guilt complex. One weekend, one prompt marathon, one very cathartic app.

Ranked by weekly active users

WAU is the honest metric — anyone can spike a launch day, but only useful apps get opened again next week. The yellow bar is each app's share of the current leader.

03 — HOW IT WORKS

The rules of the game

One app ships every Monday

Idea to live URL in seven days, built almost entirely by prompting AI coding tools — that's the "vibe-coded" part. No sprints, no backlog, no excuses.

Everything happens in public

The build goes up on Instagram each week: the idea, the prompts that worked, the ones that produced garbage, and the moment it ships. Wins and faceplants get equal airtime.

Every app gets the same tracker

A tiny analytics snippet goes into each project — no cookies, no creepiness, just counting unique weekly users. Every app is measured exactly the same way.

The leaderboard is the verdict

Apps rise and fall on WAU alone. I don't get a vote. If something I loved sinks to the bottom, it stays at the bottom — that's the lesson, and I'll post about why.

What works gets doubled down on

At week 52 the leaderboard picks the winners: the top apps get taken seriously — real design, real features, maybe real revenue. The rest become a very public graveyard of lessons.

04 — MY STORY

Why I'm doing this

By day I'm a product manager. I've spent years helping companies decide what to build — writing the strategies, running the roadmaps, sitting in the meetings about the meetings. And the whole time, a quiet suspicion kept growing: the only real way to know if an idea works is to ship it and watch.

AI coding tools finally collapsed the excuse. What used to take me a quarter and a team now takes a weekend and a chat window. So I set myself the most honest experiment I could design: one app a week for a year, every metric public, and the users — not me — decide what's good.

Some weeks will be embarrassing. That's the point. Fifty-two shots on goal beats one perfect business plan, and I'd rather learn in public than plan in private.
